Mina Releases Astounding Debut Single ‘Don’t Hold On’
Mina, based in London but originally a Swiss singer and songwriter has just released her jazz-influenced song “Don’t Hold On”. The song came out on the 7th of October, and about one week later, on the 14th of October, a longer version of this jazzy melody was also made available for everyone to listen to. Mina established an effortlessly cool sound and is here to reign the UK charts.
The song “Don’t Hold On” is comprised of lyrics that are serious and discuss the difficulties of modern dating as well as the hollow, unfulfilling encounters that we may so frequently have as a result of it. It is a potent reminder that love can no longer exist when individuals have emotionally disconnected from one another and are frightened to open themselves to one another. As a result, the story told in “Don’t Hold On” is about meetings that are fleeting and lack intimacy. These kinds of relationships frequently leave today’s youth feeling perplexed and dissatisfied with the fairytale concept of what love is meant to be like.
Overall, the song is a very spectacular display of the up-and-coming musician Mina, and her one-of-a-kind sense of charm and personality, which is showcased here brilliantly! Her music has an old-school, jazzy vibe to it, but it also has a contemporary edge to it and a sly sense of guile, which has helped Mina get attention and carve out a niche for herself in the UK music scene.
