Misery Loves Company by Kellan. : Review
“Misery Loves Company,” a proverb that dates back hundreds of years, means that people who are suffering are comforted by the knowledge that others are also unhappy. When singer-songwriter Kellan. adopted this saying to be his next single, he also shone a new light on the message with pure love, friendship, and companionship.
Drawn to the track because of its unique mix of pop and hip-hop with hints of jazz, American funk and electronica, the track has a firm grip on our attention right from the start. Kellan. mashes up the beat, the singing, and the rapping so catchy and lively that it makes even being broken sound uplifting and hopeful. It is inevitable that one will go through many highs and lows in life, experience great joys and losses, and go through a roller coaster of emotions. But even in our darkest hours, there is a sense of acceptance, support, and warm solace in knowing that you are not alone in your struggle. It is because of those who know you and choose to stick by your side when you are at your lowest point in life, even when they’re at the lowest point in theirs. Simply put, according to the three-minute song:
“You ain’t gotta be on time, you just gotta be there
And you ain’t gotta make it right, all you gotta do is care”
Kelland. is the sole driving force behind his success as the author, vocalist, rapper, and producer of his music. Let’s sit back and watch as his promising future career unfolds!
