Miss Being in Love by Amie Jay: Review

“Miss Being in Love” is a stunning alternative pop track by Amie Jay. Her ability to speak through music, and generate a catchy melody while at it is pretty impressive. With that said, this fresh number is a mixture of deep bass and infectious choruses. So, hang tight folks, it’s gonna be an exciting trip.
Amie Jay’s music is a combination of 1980s synth with modern-day moody pop artists like Lana Del Rey. The result? Simply fabulous. When Amie breaks into song on “Miss Being in Love” you can feel the richness in her voice, and the quality of her talent. The smooth layers of this track are pretty charming, especially when the singer’s presence mixes with a bassline. The instrument’s tone and presence on the tune sets the stage for groove to take place, and a party to start. Once the wheels are set in motion, pure melodic thrill activates. A chill synth comes on and enhances the excitement of the song. Thus, “Miss Being in Love” turns into this ultra-pop track accompanied by glossy textures of synth and bass. Aside from that, the song’s chorus is refreshing to hear, and I kept coming back to it.
Songs of love, heartbreak, and just the whole experience of romance have always resonated with me. It’s intriguing to hear any artist’s take on it, and I’m glad to have come across Amie Jay’s stance on the matter. Her music feels personal, yet accessible to anyone going through the same things. Thus, I do hope you give “Miss Being in Love” a go.
