Moments by ToyQueens: Review
Ric T James is a producer and a songwriter who works with a live band while they are performing or recording. His influences are The 1975, Brian Adams, the neighbourhood, and Badflowers. The track was recorded in the south of England at a home studio. This song tells a dreamlike story or fairytale where your dream girl is coming to save you as she is driving through the desert in her convertible car, while you are at your lowest point. For “Moments” Ric follows a mixture of genres which are pop rock, emo pop, and other new trendy ones.
The song starts off with some synthesized sounds mixed in with the keys of a church organ and then there’s a hit of one drum stroke making everything come to life. The bass line of the track is fun and, in addition to that, the guitar work and drumming are very enjoyable to listen to. The vocalist gives off the vibe that he is from a punk rock band, which is very cool and complementary to the track in an innovative way. His voice has a soft reverb that makes the atmosphere of the song feel more complete. The guitar riffs begin with a muted sound, which is cool to listen to, and after a while, the guitarist starts to play with full gear and is unmuted.
It is one impressive track with energy and feel-good quality and even though the lyrics are a bit dreamy, but the music composition is fun.
