My Life So Far by Ava Bryant: Review
Lift your feet because Ava Bryant is here to make a splash with her well-articulated vocals in โMy Life So Farโ, with a hint of Kate Bush and pop artists from the 2010s era.
The 5 tracks in her brilliant little collection have really taken me by surprise! Sheโs got a jazz about life, a liveliness in her mid-life crisis-like the question in her track โwho the hell am i?โ Sheโs got the perfect blend of Taylor Swift-like voice especially in โitโs so fun!โ, but in a higher tone, and a fun musical flavor that is almost like Katy Perryโs. โgive me youโ is one of my favorite songs in the entire EP. Itโs catchy, beautifully harmonized, and intricate until the very last second! The final song โweโll be okayโ makes me think itโs straight out of a series finale like โNew Girlโ or any show that has a female protagonist, wiser and self-aware, transitioning to a different life.
There are so many resemblances I find in her music, so itโs hard to take only a few names, but if youโre that kid who grew up with good pop music, youโll be able to relate. It was hard picking a favorite from the album, and I donโt say this lightly. Ava Bryant is absolutely impressive, flawless, and effortless all at the same time. She makes me feel nostalgic, even with her new zest for life and a vibrancy thatโs quite hard to come across these days. I really hope that you enjoy this EP as much as I did.
