New Kicks by Gully: Review

โThe party is slowly dying, and everyone felt the need to go home, but out came a bottle of champagne. Afterward, a gentleman connected his mighty aux to a Spotify playlist, and the first number was โNew Kicksโ by Gully. Suddenly, the entire party rejoiced and it was the greatest night of their livesโ Yes, thatโs exactly how it happened ladies and gents, or will happen to any party if they heard this lit song by Gully! From the very first piano note to the extremely funky bassline, I knew this was gonna be one of those beautifully crafted pieces meant for greatness.
Gullyโs voice swayed around the entirety of the instruments like a moth to a flame. The synths, excellent bass line, minimal beats, and trumpets, TRUMPETS YOU GUYS! I am not even kidding, I was already on a roll of happiness with the intro of the song, and as soon as the trumpets entered I was absolutely blown away. The singing style of the British artist is phenomenal and kinda reminds me of the songs created by also a British band named โBloc Partyโ. With that being said, Gully is still in a world of his own and has a voice that commands attention and melodic prowess. He truly shines with each note!
Iโll always recommend this song to someone, heck Iโm adding it to my playlist right now! Thereโs a sense of melancholy, followed by a rapid transition in โNew Kicksโ, and Iโm absolutely lovinโ it.
