No Take Backs by Wotts: Review

In the mood for a colorful burst of music? No Take Backs by Wotts is the one for you!

It’s catchy, it’s upbeat, and quirky and will take you back to a fun summertime memory when life was all about good vibes!

5 seconds into the song and I could hear the Tame Impala inspiration in the duo’s contemporary and suave vocals and their heavy psych-pop mix! I don’t think there’s a single soul on this planet who’s listened to The Less I Know The Better and disliked the sound of it. So I’ll go out of my way now and tell you that once you stream No Take Backs by Wotts on Sound Cloud, you’ll crave more! This is why it’s good news that this track is not the Canadian duo’s first release. Their previous works 6 Shooter, Lemonade, and Domino are all stellar in their own individual way.

What sets Wotts apart from other alternative psychedelic rock synth-pop bands (that’s a mouthful!), is their inclusion of every instrument in a crisp volume. There’s no doubt that the duo plucked a lot of different sounds and created this magical explosion of euphoria!

From its funky bass to acoustic trickles, the cocktail of instruments brings a sensation of nostalgia for 90s music fans. The synthesizers all come together nicely, building into a heavier bass line which is an instant giveaway of the typical indie neo-psychedelia mix.
