Normalitätsvermessung by Deltawelle: Review
Deltawelle is an electronic rock band specializing in groovy melodies that are truly resonant. Their single “Normalitätsvermessung” encompasses two songs, “Alles soll schön sein” and the title track. Dear reader, are you a fan of unique genre fusions? Well, you’d be presently surprised at how well Deltawelle mixes traditional indie rock with gripping basslines and electronic soundscapes. So, with that being said let’s dive straight right in.
The first track “Alles soll schön sein” starts with a moody sequence involving deep basslines and a playful singer at the mic. Once we get a taste of the band’s initiation, their musical prowess extends further with funky guitars and a synthesizer piece that screams a techno allure. I enjoyed the aggressive tension building up through the track and entering this flurry of sounds within their crescendo. The genius composition of the basslines inspired me to borrow an old bass from a mate and start fiddling on the instrument myself. Exceptionally groovy, I was overjoyed at the inclusion of it on Deltawelle’s vibrant sound.
Next up, is the energetic track “Normalitätsvermessung.” Undoubtedly, the band is in their element as they enter a musical zone with a flair for electronica and alternative rock. The singer has a distinct almost experimental flow to the vocal sections that was quite fresh. Once again, the basslines take the center stage as the prime rhythm structure. Even though I’ve been a guitarist for over a decade, I still gravitate toward the bass at specific intervals. Deltawelle’s performance was truly moving, and I applaud their gritty sound.
