Nowadays prides set the scene with a jazz-style piano arrangement and a sultry voice to grace our ears. The bassline gives us a sneak peek with a few notes before diving right into the artist’s performance. The bass guitar has a very punchy sound and is quite crisp too. It makes the music stand out quite a bit. The singer has a very melodious range and pitch, and the background vocals also follow through quite nicely.

Overall, Nowadays pride by Chamad Shango is a mixture of jazz, with a spectacular twist of RnB. As the song progressed I was thrilled by the interesting transitions that seem to get funkier and funkier with each note. The solos were quite interesting, it sounded like the electric guitar got put in a very interesting robotic tone. All in all the song has many merits, where the instrumentation and vocals are among them.

I admire Chamad Shango’s musical sense. Their ability to blend genres and accompany a funk-style rhythm is quite refreshing to hear.
