O’Dream by Clay Joule: Review
Moved by the humanitarian crisis caused by the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war, Clay Joule’s song O’Dream is a part of the “Fight 4 Freedom” movement to support Ukraine in the nation’s dream for peace and the end of Russia’s tyranny.
Starting off with brave Ukrainian guitarist Alex Gusinsky’s guitar (who recorded the guitar takes while his neighboring streets were being bombed by the Russian soldiers), this rock epic stands in solidarity with Ukraine in the ongoing Ukraine-Russia war. Clay Juole sings about hope and dreams with his dreamy and expressive vocals comforting the distressed and inspiring people all over the world to stand by the Ukrainians and rise against tyranny.
The accompanying music video portrays the plight of the war-stricken Ukrainians’ peaceful protests and their dreams of Putin’s invasion coming to an end and bringing him to justice. It is truly heartbreaking to see a nation suffer like this for the greed of others. But just like the song says, like dreamers they never gave up and kept fighting and are still fighting to this day for their freedom, and for peace while many thought this war would be short-lived before the Russian force. The song carries the same spirit and with its inspiring lyrics and heart-warming melodies, it inspires the listeners to stand in solidarity with Ukraine to end the war and bring back peace.
