One Summer’s Day by Lucy Crisp: Review
“One Summer’s Day” is a stellar synth-pop tune by Lucy Crisp. She’s a delightful singer based in Nottingham and has a serene voice that keeps us hooked with each passing minute of her song. Her delivery on this piece has every bit of finesse you would expect from a promising artist, and then some! Altogether, after hearing the track on repeat, I’ve been captivated by her fresh pop allure, and I can’t seem to back away from it easily.
Lucy’s take on the electro/synth pop genre is pretty intriguing. This comes from her natural flow, and the ability to create a catchy tune. She’s got an edge that separates her from other indie artists, and the primary reason is her dazzling voice and sense of melody. Just the way the singer controls the track’s tempo and uplifts each verse alongside the instrumental portion was mesmerizing. Speaking of which, the melody is all about a vibrant combination of synths and beats. It generated a lovely 80s aura, albeit with a contemporary twist. The result is a mixture of sounds that resonated immensely, and I believe this is the essence of true music. Tracks such as “One Summer’s Day” brings back the roots of such a powerful expression, and engrosses an audience for a poptastic experience they’ve been seeking.
Once you get a taste of good pop music, you’ll be on a roll from then on. And if “One Summer’s Day” by Lucy Crisp is the first song on your list, well then, folks, you’ll be hearing that for days on end!
