Opposite Poles by Dream of a Man in a Top Hat: Review
The musical duo Dream of a Man in a Top Hat comprises Lee Leffler (guitars, keyboards, vocals, and lyrics) and Michael Frackleton (drums, bass, percussion, keyboards, vocals, and lyrics). The boys have composed a rock and roll track that is gritty and creative, entitled “Opposite Poles”. The song is filled with a peaceful singing experience, and some melodic guitar-themed instrumentation as well as other sounds blended with the mix.
“Opposite Poles” has a mysterious energy about it. One part has these cool riffs that align with the singer’s voice, and another has an off-beat structure that is a bit experimental. Overall, the song has a groove, and the subtle aspects of the vocals embellish it quite graciously. The build-up to the guitar solo and its decorative features are punchy and have a sense of flair. Following through with a fuzz-like tone, the guitars in the track are truly hypnotizing. Aside from that, the beat sequence has some good time signatures and rolls that are a joy to hear.
The band’s lyrical and song composition is induced with that indie spirit and rock and roll is heavily empowering them. If you’re in the mood for a track that offers a fresh outlook into a modern rock atmosphere then “Opposite Poles” by Dream of a Man in a Top Hat shall be your choice. By the way! That is a very distinct name for a band, hats off!
