Copenhagen-based post-punk band, WILLIAM HAMILTON TYLANDER III dives you headfirst into the raw, unfiltered father-son heart-to-heart in their latest single, “Pull Out.” This track is a rollercoaster of emotions, delving deep into the regrets of unplanned fatherhood with a complementary instrumental reckless abandon.
The fuzzy guitars start riffing towards a wild ride. Frontman Will’s spoken word intro sets the stage perfectly, drawing you into the world of a father grappling with the realities of raising a son with heartache and regret. With each word, you can feel the weight of his experiences bearing down on you, pulling you deeper into the story.
But it’s when the drums come thumping and the refrain kicks in that things really start to heat up. The singer’s hoarse, angry voice cuts through the chaos like a knife, delivering a gut-wrenching performance. And as the guitars gain ground with fiery riffs and the vocals rage with increasing tension, you are already swept up in the anguish of the intimidating rampage.
WILLIAM HAMILTON TYLANDER III isn’t afraid to tackle the tough topics, exploring regret, frustration, and, ultimately, the destructive nature of love. The song climaxes with Will pouring out a despondent and destructive guttural scream, as though a man has been stabbed.
Listen to the gritty “Pull Out” and get exhilarated in the cathartic message of the slacker post punkers WILLIAM HAMILTON TYLANDER III.
