Red Tree Religion gets work done Quick n’ Dirty with their latest EP, released this May 13. You are getting 5 dirty punk rock tracks infused with traditional Greek elements.
The intro track, “Hot As Hell” has killer riffs that you can drift to. It comes with the side of smacking drums that will help you come back down to earth. After more than a minute of spiraling, the vocals of Greg Agyralides emerge, raspy, high, smug, and drawling over the guitar lines with a hypnotism that’s bound to get you wondering what’s the next track like.
“DIY” comes next, immediately gritting your ears down against the race track, while the drums hurl you up and down with electrifying sparks going up with every crash. Greg Agyralides sings the refrain “DIY” and backing vocals yell out in his favor.
“Sam Metho” arrives as a combo of two Greek traditional songs, intending to get you high up on an acid trip with immersive soulful trailing vocalizations over the shimmering guitars. Agyralides sings lazily, but interestingly it’s catchy.
Coming to get you a little less attentive, we have the cover song “Drinkin’ All Night” to get you to lose it all. The song has drums punching you with their heavy hits while the guitar bends its way out.
Ending Quick n’ Dirty, we have the catchy and raw groove of “White System – Live Version” which was performed on Greek national television studios in Athens. The drums feel real and live, with the cymbals, echoing as they shimmer with every splash. The music broods underneath and the singer sounds super tensed but suave enough to sound intimidating. The bridge really hits with the guitar solo bending, drifting, and grinding so good.
