Doggettโs latest single, โRazor,โ is a searing slice of pop-punk rebellion. Hailing from the Isle of Wight, Simon Whitworth, the veteran artist behind the Doggett moniker, channels decades of creative experience into a track. Released on March 24, 2025, โRazorโ is the title track of his new EP, and it bursts through the speakers with the fury of a storm you never saw coming.
The song kicks off with gritty, melodic guitar riffs that immediately set a confrontational tone. Then come the drums, crisp and crashing, propelling the track forward like a runaway train. Doggettโs vocals enter with an urgent charismaโraw, defiant, and saturated with emotional fatigue. His voice carries the weight of someone whoโs reached their limit and is now speaking hard-earned truths.
โRazorโ lives up to its name. Itโs not just the lyrical edge, where he takes aim at toxic emotional cycles and calls out the ways people chase validation at the cost of others, but also the trackโs production, which feels both tight and untamed. The chorus hits with an anthemic punch, the kind that demands to be screamed out loud in a sweaty club.
The accompanying music video enhances the energy tenfold. Doggett grinds through his performance with full-bodied emotion, his animated expressions turning lyrics into flesh. Check it out on YouTube.
