Icon For Hire have returned with their first new music since the release of their most recent full-length, โAmorphous,โ and itโs a fight to the finish.
โReady For Combatโ is a brazen and defiant piece of hard rock pandemonium, full of muscle-pumping heft and encouraging vocal refrains. Itโs the kind of tune that gets your blood pumping and wonderfully showcases the bandโs darker, grittier side.
Vocalist Ariel Bloomer had this to say about the tune:
โIโm demanding a fight, insisting that my demons come out to meet me. It actually feels amazing to acknowledge this angrier side of me. As women we often donโt have the space and freedom to do that, so it feels good to create some space with this songโ.
And guitarist Shawn Jump had this to add:
โItโs pure aggression from the start, it doesnโt have a lot of the bells and whistles we usually incorporate in our song.โ
