A breath of fresh air enters the new yearβs atmosphere with some clean melodies from Michael Pelosoβs soulful track βRewindβ featuring Marisa Frantz & Matthew Shell. The track is filled with light harmonies and soothing guitar bits that truly resonate with an easy listening aura.
The gripping emotion of pop music from the late 90s may feel like eons ago, but somehow βRewindβ did a fantastic job of rewinding to the joyful days gone by. The clean-verbed guitar chords are nice embellishments to the song and add a refined texture. As the track moves forward the singer expresses a lighthearted tone that draws you in and perfectly portrays the art of emotive pop music. There are hints of indie here and there such as the minimal but funky basslines. Due to this mysterious tension, the catchy essence of indie and pop intertwine to bloom into a sensational mix. As mentioned before βRewindβ has a calming easy listening experience to it. So, itβs suitable to hear after a long year has ended, and one can look back at their valuable memories. Altogether, the song is quite atmospheric and endearing to hear on repeat.
Michael Pelosoβs success as an indie songwriter is felt throughout βRewindβ. In his music, he touches on numerous themes that audiences will find both familiar and moving. Michael, a survivor of both epilepsy and stage 4 cancer, has established the freedom to express his views and emotions in a unique manner. Thatβs truly exceptional, I must say. So, with all that being said, do please check out βRewind!β
