Sacrificing Dreams by Cody James: Review
Neo-soul and pop rock artist Cody James brings forth a captivating melody in “Sacrificing Dreams.” It’s a guitar-heavy tune, with an abundance of blues licks, funky chords, and just an all-around vibing tempo. Aside from that, a poetic singer directs the flow of “Sacrificing Dreams” with passion.
A tasty guitar bit greets us at the start of Cody’s tune, and groovy basslines follow its rhythm. Supporting this cadence are stylish drum takes, which nail each transition with precision and fluency. “Sacrificing Dreams” makes a solid impression, and that arises due to the guitar’s smooth presence. A wicked vibe of neo-soul is intact in this piece, particularly when a silky solo steals the show halfway through the tune. Altogether, it feels terrific to hear on repeat. An eargasmic aura of pop and blues merge in “Sacrificing Dreams” and such a thrill is tough to come by nowadays. Especially with an abundance of artists taking up the genre’s mantle as of late. Nevertheless, Cody’s guitar skills are flawless and his ability to equally sing in cohesion is a lovely feat to witness
“Sacrificing Dreams” is an ideal tune if you’re new to the neo-soul genre. Taking a thorough look at musical trends allowed me to grasp its influence, and musicians such as Cody James add to that wonderful effect through intricate guitar pieces. Without a doubt, his funky track sets the ideal mood to jam out for days on end.
