Sammy María release catchy new song ‘So Cool SORROW’
English/Spanish indie electronic project Sammy María is based in North Florida, USA. Samuel Colón (he, him) and Michael Beliles (he, him) are a songwriting duo whose project largely reflects Samuel’s experience growing up as a queer Puerto Rican man in Jacksonville.
Sammy María’s project and persona were established in 2022. The endeavor serves as an expression of their lives and community and is intended to reflect the work of Samuel and Michael, Samuel’s queer and boricua identities, and the many musical talents nearby. Sammy María’s debut single, ‘So Cool SORROW’, was made available on December 10th, 2022.
Sammy María and Brian Squillace of the formerly Jacksonville-based duo LANNDS produced ‘So Cool SORROW’, and Chris Gehringer handled the mastering. Seth Kicklighter, a master photographer from Jacksonville, shot the single piece of art.
