Get you an album that’s bound to keep you off your seat and bob your head like you couldn’t be having a better time. The Flashpot Moments, an indie rock studio project by Boston singer, songwriter, and guitarist Tim Cawley, finally released two EPs, “Lucky Human Illusion” and “Sauce,” only a year after releasing his last album, “Very Far.” With these two EPs catching fire on Spotify with over 10,000 plays on such short notice, you can only somehow grasp the potential Tim Cawley has.
Lucky Human Illusion is a multifarious album for listeners from around the world to find themselves represented in his music. By working with three producers and six mixers from three continents– can it get any more diverse than that?
We found the rock and folk themes on Lucky Human Illusion quite giving with driving guitar riffs and progressive bass lines. The youthful, husky folk-like voice and chasing vocals amalgamate well with the instrumentals behind them.
The 6 track EP can be categorized but not picked apart among its tracks, each being unique in its own right. Starting with “Baby. You Don’t Know,” a high-caliber and charging song gearing up with the electric guitar, Tim’s voice is what brings us back to the country lanes. Driving with this force throughout the album, we get a more acoustic song, “Coaster Shrapnel,” mixed with electric guitars and violin sung in a lower register.
With all these fabulous, easy-to-listen-to tracks, Lucky Human Illusion has already made itself a fan favorite. So now it’s time for you to become a fan. Check it out ASAP!
