Singer-songwriter Guillem Gené steps out of the shadows and into the spotlight with his latest single, “Saviours,” a ballad on hoping for love and connection.
“Saviours” opens with a melancholic beauty. Gentle piano and plucked guitars create a bed of quiet contemplation. His voice emerges soft and tender, tinged with a hint of retrospective sadness as he sings about searching for love “all these years.”
As the song progresses, Gené’s voice builds past the ranges seamlessly and soars to an ethereal falsetto. He becomes a beacon of light to the enduring spirit that continues to yearn. Then, with spaced-out soft taps coming through midway, we get a subtle momentum to hang on to, like a flickering heartbeat that propels the song forward.
The song gets its climax with a wave of sound that engulfs us in layers. Backing vocals rise like ethereal echoes, amplifying the emotional power of Gené’s vocal delivery. It’s a moment of pure sonic catharsis, a release of all the pent-up longing and hope that lies at the heart of the song.
“Saviours” dive within our deepest insecurities and the ever-present hope that we are worthy of love amidst all the fragility of modern relationships.
“Saviours” is the last of a trilogy, with which Guillem Gené came to the spotlight as an original artist. All his songs have been produced by Jason Boshoff, known for working with big names like Josh Groban, at Room To Studio.
This release comes with a five-month tour across Europe(Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Switzerland, Spain, and Finland). So stay tuned!
