Icelandic rockers Beebee and the Bluebirds are back with an empowering scorcher on their latest single, โThe World of the Witch.โ This electrifying track is for you if you are into classic rock, especially Iron Maiden.
Recorded in Stรบdรญรณ Paradรญs (Studio Paradise) with Jรณhann รsmundsson (Mezzoforte) bringing it to perfection, โThe World of the Witchโ is a battle cry for those who have faced oppression and emerged stronger. The song opens with a primal thump from the drums, quickly joined by blazing guitars that carry the melody with a menacing swagger. The rhythm section lays down a solid foundation and a powerful base for Brynhildur Oddsdรณttirโs vocals to take us aback.
Oddsdรณttir is a revelation. Her voice is a smooth, deep, and dark instrument, rich with character. She sings with such effortless, calm, and intimidating assertion, confidence, and purpose, itโs as though she is the leader of a wolf pack. She gets in her low head voice to snarl out her lines in the verses and seamlessly shifts to the top of her lungs into spine-tingling, spellbinding, prolonged howls in the chorus. She embodies the spirit of the witch unafraid to unleash her fury if opposed.
The guitar solo, accredited to Oddsdรณttir as well, deserves special mention too as the high riffs bend and grind through the pathway with technical prowess alongside sparks of cymbals going off like the blistering friction of the tire against the road.
Listen to Beebee and the Bluebirds, known for their energetic stage presence, rock out in their powerful single, โThe World of the Witch.
