Leonardo Barilaro is back, and heโs taking us on yet another interstellar journey with Seamless, an EP thatโs as cosmic as it is deeply human. Spanning seven years and three space missions, this sonic odyssey is an experience, a plunge into the unknown, where myth and science collide in waves of sound. And, of course, he does it all with his signature blend of piano mastery, experimental textures, and a fearless embrace of the uncharted.
Opening with Voyager Dream, we drift into a celestial reverie. The piano glistens like stardust on water, while guitars gently emerge, floating in zero gravity. But just as we get comfortable, the drums burst in, a supernova of rhythm, shaking us from our dreamlike state.
Then comes Rewriting Icarus, and oh, how the myth transforms. Forget melting wingsโthis Icarus rises. The piano lurks in mystery, while the electric guitar cuts through with its gritty, soaring melodies. Drums build, tensions rise, and just when you think youโre spiraling downward, the music lifts you back up.
Astra Noctis slows things down, a deep-space meditation wrapped in introspective piano notes. Itโs like watching the universe breatheโslow, deliberate, and infinitely vast. And just when you think youโve found your place among the stars, The Shape pulls you into the unknown. This one is pure tensionโspine-chilling percussion, a piano that shimmers and looms, and a rhythm section that rumbles like a impending cosmic monster creeping at you amidst the hollow.
Seamless is a voyage. Barilaro builds entire worlds, bridging the gap between art and space exploration. And if he ever plays a concert on Mars, weโre all tuning in.
