Sebastián Yatra’s New Music Video “Si Me La Haces” with Lenny Tavarez and Mariah Angeliq [Watch]
Sebastián Yatra, a Colombian singer-songwriter, debuted his new music video for “Si Me La Haces,” a reggaeton pop collaboration with Puerto Rican musician Lenny Tavarez and young Cuban-Puerto Rican singer Mariah Angeliq, today (April 19).
We first see Yatra and Tavarez filling out paperwork in the original music video, which was directed by Daniel Duran. It turned out to be an application for a boyfriend-seeking service. Mariah then administers a lie-detector test to the two candidates, in which they are judged on their loyalty. Mariah will snoop through their phones and have women tease them in order to see their true feelings. They wind up tying for the futuristic boyfriend application score in the end. The story surprise is that neither of the lads gets the job and are instead left wandering the streets, perplexed.
Yatra has had a strong start to the year, and his current album, Dharma, has received multiple award nominations, demonstrating his dominance of the Latin music world. Favorite Artist – Pop, Favorite Song – Pop for “Pareja Del Ao” with Myke Towers, Viral Song of the Year for “Tacones Rojos,” Favorite Video for “Melancólicos Anónimos,” and Favorite Social Artist are among the five Latin American Music Awards he is competing for this week.
Yatra also just collaborated with John Legend on a new multilingual version of his No. 1 Billboard charting hit single “Tacones Rojos.” And if that wasn’t enough, Yatra recently made history by performing “Dos Oruguitas” from the animated film Encanto at the 94th Academy Awards. We’re only halfway through 2022, but the “Traicionera” singer has already had a memorable year.
Below is Yatra’s futuristic, pop-of-color music video for “Si Me La Haces,” which also features Tavarez and Mariah.
