In his latest EP, Shift, Germany-based producer ReeZ3ssi0N shows us how to remain passionate and humane even while being experimental and futuristic. Released on March 13, this EP gets the producer at his best with dynamic and engaging EDM compositions, all created in the comfort of his bedroom.
Shift kicks off with slow and suspenseful cold mecha synth waves of the titular track, โShift,โ The music brings texture with the glitch and smacks with thick beats. The track evolves with viscose pumps, glitzy synths and more textures to culminate in a dancey and dynamic finale that leaves us craving more and hopping onto the next track.
โFell In Loveโ delves into emotional and relatable territory, with a steady and reflective synth pulse building momentum over thumping hard beats. Thick and passionate female vocals emerge, questioning whether falling in love with their inconsistent partner was a mistake after all.
Coming up third, โEthereal,โ lives up to its name with its atmospheric and dreamy soundscapes. Swirling and sparkling synths and pumping beats create an otherworldly vibe that transports us to pure bliss.
Closing out Shift is a heartfelt plea for reassurance in โBe Ok,โ underscored by glitzy synth lines and catchy beats. The passionate and youthful male vocals crave the consolation that everything will indeed โbe ok.โ What ends with love and optimism is always a good ending. With the engaging, electrifying music, thatโs an even better ending!
