Gorey, Ireland-based alt-rock trio Foot Squeaker unravels the mounting complications of connectivity and friendships in this generation with their latest single, “Friends Like These.” Released on March 22, this latest single showcases the band’s knack for crafting thought-provoking alt-rock anthems in blazing harmonies.
From the outset, the song captivates listeners with its dreamy guitar melodies that give way to hook-laden riffs. The drums pound with relentless energy drive the song forward over energetic and engaging vocals. They trail and surge with a sensational lulling harmony layered ethereally.
“Friends Like These” is a soaring and harmony-laden affair, lifting the spirits and providing a cathartic release from the angst depicted in the verses. With its unifying enormity, the blazing guitars becomes an instant earworm as it comes full-throttle and drives your senses into oblivion.
Foot Squeaker is a trio of Diarmuid Comerford, Mike Lynch, and Richard Deering coming together with their instruments and their vocals setting a triad of dimensions in their music. With their infectious energy and compelling sound, the band has been making waves in the Irish music scene, performing at venues across the country and earning airplay on radio stations both at home and beyond.
Check out the single’s Daniel Fox mix and stay tuned for more singles to drop preceding their debut album coming next year. Find them touring all over Ireland from March 29 throughout April.
