SMILE by Chughey: Review
Chughey’s musical expression is quite fascinating to witness, especially in his alternative hip-hop track “SMILE.” The artist exhibits raw talent and skill in this track through effortless rapping and singing, all the while conveying his inner pain. “SMILE” accompanies a LoFi-style guitar piece that has an incredible tone, and weighty beats tagging along to keep the song balanced.
From the very first second of “SMILE” a beautiful guitar riff drops, and it has an interesting mechanic of glitching out. Through this technique, a resonant cadence is formed where Chughey’s performance takes shelter. His melodic outfit pertains to the dark undertone of hip-hop, all the while punk-rock style vocals enter the mix. It’s a brilliant combination and adds to the artist’s unique persona. Aside from this, a thumping percussion is active that uplifts the song’s essence and keeps everything grounded.
“SMILE” is a hauntingly beautiful tune portrayed through Chughey’s melodic flow. Hip-hop’s core is vivid in this piece, and it’s also a fresh take on such a definitive genre in the music biz. It fills me with joy knowing that artists such as Chughey are doing something different with their music, especially when it comes to rap music. You gotta have an edge while spitting out solid bars, and Chughey’s poetry depicts that aspect with pride. Ladies and gents, “SMILE” should be on your radar, especially if you seek an eccentric tune. Oh, and by the way, it is available for streaming!
