Sol Roth drops gripping new song ‘The Riddler’s Last Riddle’
A comic book theme and a philosophical underpinning are present in the rap song ‘The Riddler’s Last Riddle’, which is aggressive and upbeat. It was one of 22 songs Sol Roth wrote and recorded in just 22 days. Many of them, like this one, were finished in a single 2-hour session using only the smartphone app Starmony. It has been called an insane burst of raw, authentic creativity.
“I’ve always admired artists who can compel you to follow a narrative or theme in a piece of work that is aesthetically pleasing on the surface but necessitates analysis to understand its deeper meaning. The listeners must piece together the various levels of meaning. The more they delve into a subject, the more they can connect it to their own lives, philosophies, and experiences. I looked at some artwork on my phone during my 2-hour recording experiment, including the piece that would eventually become my cover art (of me as a new Batman villain), and I took it from there.” Sol Roth said.
