It’s not every day that a soothing song arrives and surprises us immensely. Today’s special artist who brings about that charm is Spy From Moscow and their delightful track “Soldier Song.” It’s an evocative piece filled with ambient textures and creative storytelling. The rhythm is based on jazzy guitar and clean vocal sections. Altogether, the melody has this sense of warmth that grabs hold of you and stays on long after the music fades.
“Soldier Song” starts with a gentle guitar arrangement and a graceful singer at the mic. It’s pretty chill, and the aura is comfortable to take in. The sway of the music is fresh and has an interesting cadence that reminds me of something. Spy From Moscow’s track paints a scene right from a dive bar: at midnight, in an empty room, having your last drink, and then slowly leaving out in the rain-drenched streets. I believe it’s partially because of the moody aesthetic of the music that that notion comes to mind. The slow-paced timbres and stylized narrative bring to mind lonely nights and the journey that some of us take.
In terms of genre, “Soldier Song” can easily be categorized as slow rock or even ambient. If you’re a fan of soulful guitar segments and a singer that is in equilibrium with the instrument, then Spy From Moscow’s piece should be right up your alley, folks. Do check out this fantastic track!
