Some Kind Of Hollywood by Twin Solitaire: Review
“Some Kind Of Hollywood” is a love letter to 90s pop rock. It’s got that calm ethereal rhythm pattern alongside a poetic narrative that the era is famous for. The elements of the new wave genre are mixed in with pop to create a lovely cadence, and we’ve got front-row seats witnessing Twin Solitaire’s magic. This act is pretty mesmerizing and won’t let you down if melodic pop anthems are what you seek.
An atmospheric synthesizer plays while a drum beat initiates the flow. Eventually, a solid bassline captures the essence of the track, and we feel the enchanting sound of “Some Kind Of Hollywood.” In addition to that, the singer’s allure is felt and this is where the charm of 90s pop truly blossoms. There’s something about that time period that sparked an influential sound. Whether it was the popular trends in music or something about a pre-internet age that allowed people to explore a genre combination no one had touched before. Now, this is where the turn happens when the guitar solo enters, and we get a taste of rock while the new wave genre blends right in.
Twin Solitaire are a solid act to look out for. Their brilliant instrumental chemistry and vocal bravado resonated with me quite a bit, and I’m sure you’ll feel the same too about their tune “Some Kind Of Hollywood.”
