‘Someone Will Love You Better’ Is Johnny Orlando’s New Emotional Song & Music Video
Johnny Orlando returns with a brand new tune titled “someone will love you better”!
This is the 19-year-old singer’s first new single of 2022, and he’s also released a music video to go with it.
“‘Someone will love you better’ is the story of one of my friends who fell out of love with his partner,” Johnny explained to ET about the song. When he told me about it, I thought it was fascinating that you could love someone passionately and then lose affection for them over time.”
“The lyrics represent his realization of the breakup, the moment he broke the news, and his desire that someone else, even if it wasn’t him, would love her the way he once did,” he stated.
Johnny is also on a US mini-tour, which kicks off tonight (April 22) at the Gramercy Theater in New York City!

[Intro]
Ooh-ooh-oh
Ooh-ooh-ah
[Verse 1]
The greatest romance, lightning strike to my heart
We would slow dance, in my headlights, in the parking lot
There was no chance of ever falling apart
But you’ve noticed that I’m here but I’m so far
[Pre-Chorus]
‘Cause I’ve been running from the sun
And I got nowhere left to hide (Ooh)
[Chorus]
Every night I close my eyes
And wish I was still in love
Trying to fight the war with my mind
It’s gonna kill me to give you up
Darling, this is gonna hurt
No, I won’t regret it
‘Cause I loved you first
But someone will love you better
[Verse 2]
Last time I’ll hold you, just ’cause you need it
Hard to console you when I can’t give you reasons
Hate that love can be a thing you lose
There’s nothing you or I could do
We were fools to fall and it’s nobody’s fault, no
[Pre-Chorus]
‘Cause I’ve been running from the sun
And I got nowhere left to hide (Hide)
[Chorus]
Every night I close my eyes
And wish I was still in love
Trying to fight the war with my mind
It’s gonna kill me to give you up
Darling, this is gonna hurt
No, I won’t regret it
‘Cause I loved you first
But someone will love you better
[Post-Chorus]
Ooh-ooh-oh
Ooh-ooh-ah
‘Cause I loved you first (I loved you first)
But someone will love you better
Ooh-ooh-oh
Ooh-ooh-ah
‘Cause I loved you first
But someone will love you better
[Outro]
Darling, this is gonna hurt
I won’t regret it
‘Cause I loved you first
But someone will love you better
