Sonic Tides release a new music video for the single โInsomniaโ.
For the creation of this new song video, the band had the pleasure of working with Simon Medard and his crew at Camera-ETC animation studios (-M- MATHIEU CHEDID, DOUR FESTIVAL, DAN SAN, THE FEATHER, YEW,โฆ)
For months, the animators have been working nonstop on this gigantic project. The band membersโ dreams were directly inspired by the song video and its beautiful images.
โINSOMNIAโ is a song dedicated to persons who suffer from insomnia. The lyrics depict the never-ending mental cycles that prevent you from sleeping even when youโre exhausted.
โSeveral band members have had to deal with insomnia personally and the anxiety and derived feelings it
creates. We wanted to use those emotions and feelings to inspire us with this new single and bring them to life
through our music in this new trackโ
The songโs structure, as well as its dynamic fluctuations, mirrors the mechanics and rhythms of Insomnia musically.
Ups and downs in a cyclical pattern. The quiet sections are interrupted by surprising blasts of frenzied noises before reverting to a more peaceful tune and gentler dynamics before returning in waves.
Sonic Tides is a five-piece alternative belgian band. Their sound is a mix of noise rock and stoner rock with psychedelic overtones. Their music transports the listener on a journey through hypnotic harmonies and a dark atmosphere. Their tracks have a progressive and sophisticated design with many rythmic and harmonic shifts.
The band independently released its debut EP, โSix Sided Square โ 1st,โ in 2021, and it was warmly received by the press internationally, receiving airing on various national radio stations as well as dozens of stories from around the world (France, Belgium, USA, UK, โฆ)
Quotable Lyrics:
Overrun by the pulse of time โ away from all things real
Restrained from relief โ itโs driving me insane
Falling apart Iโm drifting โ away from all things real
Dreading the sunrise
Cannot tell up from down
Staring into my soul, I know
I wonโt carry this much longer
Praying that it goes away
