Spectrum by Alpha Mortal Foxtrot: Review
Alpha Mortal Foxtrot, an alternative rock band hailing from Jakarta, has arisen with their most recent single titled โSpectrumโ. It is a powerful track filled with passionate vocals and a crescendo of drums that feel like a stampede. The guitars and basslines are sensational and quite nostalgic too. This is because the instrumentโs tone has an interesting tension reminiscing of the early 2000s.
As listeners are greeted with a fast-paced tempo of drum arrangements and uplifting guitar arrangements, we canโt help but root for the band. The guitar solos in the track are very cinematic, this is because the phrasing itself, and the rhythm backup for it create a unique soundwave that you must experience to enjoy. The singerโs voice is quite soothing, and he doesnโt scream all that much, as alternative rock demands it. Rather, he eases the tension with his emotive vocals and delivers a strong performance too.
I admire the production work done on the track. The reason is, every instrumental take sounds fresh, but quite frankly the drums take the center stage. It has this crisp tone that embellishes the track into this force of music that is very entertaining and uplifting to hear. The band surely has a great poetic sense, as evident from the names โAlpha Mortal Foxtrotโ, and โSpectrumโ. Thus, if youโre in the mood for a unique take on alternative rock, all the while trying to reminisce about the good old days when music as such filled our hearts with joy. Then please do give this track a listen.
