Tucson, Arizona-based Alt-Rock band Broken Romeo gets raw about the angsty loneliness and fear we all shared in the pandemic in their latest single, “Stay with Me.”
Released on March 19th, the band, led by James Turpin on lead vocals and guitars, Steve Turpin on lead guitars and vocals, Ari Sloane on bass, and Matt Ringnell on drums, Broken Romeo delivers a gritty and impassioned performance that leaves a lasting impact.
From the outset, “Stay with Me” grabs our attention with its driving guitars and bustling drums staying true to classic rock while being contemporary. The distorted guitar tones create a dark and intense atmosphere, setting the stage for Turpin’s husky vocals to convey a sense of angst and frustration. His delivery is filled with raw emotion, reflecting the inner turmoil of someone grappling with loneliness and the fear of being alone in the chaos of uncertainty and a spreading virus.
Having earned recognition as the 2011 Tammie winner in the Rock category and shared the stage with numerous national acts, Broken Romeo has established themselves as a formidable presence in the music scene.
“Stay with Me” only speaks for an aspect of the various themes we struggled with during the pandemic. Broken Romeo’s latest and upcoming studio album, “Infirmus Orbis,” which began its journey in the 2020/21 pandemic era, will reveal the rest in even more engaging riffs.
As Broken Romeo continues to release tracks from “Infirmus Orbis,” anticipation builds for the full album release. Listen to “Stay with Me” as you await a more powerful and cathartic listening experience.
