Still Smilin’ by jon penny: Review
Upon hearing Still Smilin’ by jon penny, I literally had a smile on my face the entire time. It was a combination of many elements really. The music has a funky bass tone, which I truly admired. Whenever a track has a good bassline, it immediately grabs my attention. The lofi style guitar chords felt sentimental, and jon’s voice was very poetic and soothing.
The video associated with the track is just too cute. It shows a youngin just being playful and some instrumental shots as well. It is artistic and wholesome. The song itself has some harmonies and is overall a vibe. The guitar is played on some dreamy chords that are polished and make jon’s voice sound cleaner. All the production is very well done and is able to sustain the overall mellow tone of the track. According to the artist the song is about dealing with life’s struggles with a smile, and how it can be a great initiative. That is a very straightforward approach to everything and I appreciate the message the artist portrays. Bravo!
In a nutshell, Still Smilin’ is one of those songs that will fit great into your playlist. The drum beats are minimal and the overall track is very peaceful, especially the guitar aspects. It’s a fine type of music to hear when you just want to relax at the end of a long and tiring day. There are great things in store for jon penny, hope to see his stardom skyrocket!
