Sun King Rising released serene new song ‘No. 6 Magnolia Avenue’

Sun King Rising’s highly anticipated second album ‘Signs & Wonders’ gets a released on PeacockSunrise Records. John Blangero, a musician who performs as Sun King Rising, is a singer-songwriter and pianist who lives in Port Isabel, Texas. He describes his music as the new wave of southern rock and soul music because it combines various musical genres and influences.
Blangero hopes to build on the success of his 2020 debut album, ‘Delta Tales’, which has received close to 800K Spotify streams and close to 40K views on YouTube for his Grammy-winning ‘Free Will in China Blue’ video.
The foundation of John Blangero’s music is built on the traditions and values of his southern family. His music, which draws its inspiration from the icons of his generation, combines the genius of William Faulkner’s writing with George Gershwin’s bluesy compositions, Elton John’s blue-eyed soul, and the funky rhythms and horns of Muscle Shoals in the 1960s and 1970s. A collection of Blangero’s southern noir stories set to music called ‘Signs & Wonders’ features a colorful cast of characters, intrigue, stories of sin and redemption, murder without mercy, and unrestricted love. A well-known geneticist who has devoted a lot of time to the COVID pandemic over the past few years is Blangero.
