sunset + mine release their enchanting song “Time & Space”
On December 16, 2022, sunset + mine released their fifth single, “Time & Space.” The moniker “sunset + mine” represents husband and wife duo Valerie and Rocco Repetski. Their song is a gentle narrative of a young romance between two newlyweds who refuse to be apart and wish to spend every second in one other’s embrace. Following their debut single “Honey Let’s Go,” husband-and-wife combo sunset + mine reveals how their love has grown closer and deeper on “Time & Space,” which features Valerie Repetski’s ethereal vocal melodies encased in throbbing synths and tropical beats. The song closes with a wonderful and unexpected conclusion.
From the first second, I pressed play, my dopamine levels started to rise. The atmospheric synths are such a lovely melodic scene set for the singer to grace us. Eventually when the build-up ensures a bright accented beat drop enters. Each note intertwines with the theme of the music. By that I mean, at times house or dubstep artists often take away the fundamental sound of the verse and chorus pieces and create a drop that is quite different in tone and tempo. But interestingly enough, sunset + mine did a terrific job in maintaining the slow jam aspect of the verse sequences and created this drop that fit the track perfectly.
Aside from the track “Time & Space”, sunset + mine’s other track “Honey Let’s Go” had remarkable positive reviews from notable sources – Unheard Gems stated that “This is the perfect song to blast on your speakers in the summer with the windows down and the smell of sunscreen in the air.” While Motion News subtly expressed the track as “A thrilling love story.” Finally, Alchemical Records had their say “The song is the duo’s first project and introduces the two into the pop scene with a bang. Reminiscent of Katy Perry’s ‘Teenage Dream’, it’s the perfect track to sing along to while driving on the highway and a great road trip tune.”
