Swim by ICEBERG: Review
ICEBERG, is a talented musician based in London. She is an indie artist who sings, is a multi-instrumentalist, and doesnโt shy away from production work either. She began studying classical piano at the age of eight and taught herself how to play the guitar at twenty. Her musical style is quite divine, and the sounds she incorporates in โSwimโ is truly otherworldly. Her voice is magnetic, and the rhythm of the guitar overflows with sophistication. Her production is top-notch and it is quite evident from the quality of the track.
In the previous seven years, ICEBERG has spent a lot of time looking for a certain sound, but it wasnโt until she gained expertise as a producer that she was finally able to find it. She moved to London five years ago to pursue a masterโs degree in music production and engineering. Prior to that, she was an independent musician based in Nashville who traveled around the United States and Europe.
Icebergโs capability to create pieces of music that express escapism and deep-rooted feelings that many of us experience in these hard times are very impressive. In the song โSwim,โ ICEBERGโs voice soars in resonance. In chaotic events a powerful melody can uplift you, thus her music perfectly describes that notion. There is a special part in the song that is quite dear to me. The part nearing the end where she repeats โBarely feel, barely feel anythingโ is quite catchy, and the background vocals also add a nice touch to everything.
