The 69 Eyes have released a new single called “Drive,” which is the first of several new songs that will be released in the coming months while they work on their forthcoming album.
“The inspiration comes from the same pool of music I have always liked, largely from the ’80s,” said guitarist Bazie. I never make any plans; I just pick up my guitar and see what happens.
“This time, we jammed a lot more as a band and all of the guys came up with song ideas.” ‘Drive’ began with a simple riff that I had been playing for a long time. It took a long time, but it was well worth the wait. It’s still exciting, which was the intention.”
Jyrki 69, the band’s frontman, adding, “This music was provided by Bazie, and I was taken away by how new it seemed. It sounded like something you’d hear on rock radio! Our songs are played on the rock channels in Finland on a daily basis, yet they are from fifteen years ago. So, I figured this would be a good time to try something new; let’s take to the airwaves! ‘Drive’ is a quick rocker in the style of the 69 EYES, with a Sunset Strip twist!” Here’s where you may listen to the song:
