Once a Knight of the Vale in the widely amassed sensational HBO TV show Game of Thrones, the actor GALVO is now setting foot in the music industry. The singer-songwriter has treated the Irish music scene to his debut indie folk album, “The HeARTist” on the auspicious date of his birthday on Sept 26. Its singles, “Getting Better” and “Maybe” have already been featured by The Irish World, RAMZine, and Fame Magzine.
“The HeARTist”’s first track, “Weight” begins with guitar strumming and mesmerizing piano. The voice is ethereally high and soft echoing in the windy indie soundscape. “Maybe” has a peaceful acoustic strumming with tapping percussion and a voice that takes you to a land of reveries. The song is catchy and upbeat. The jingling percussive effects add a shimmer to the atmospheric song.
Moving on among the deep list of profound authenticism and heartfelt philosophy with interwoven layers of guitar, we stop at “Getting Better.” The song heals you as it suddenly immerses you in a throe of ambient hypnotic force from its acoustic beginnings. Right after, we have “The Hammer” pinning us down to our bottom with the effects of lost love and then hammering self-discovery into our lost souls.
GALVO, with his filmmaking background, turns “The HeARTist” into a visual album as he lets loose all imagery and creative vision with the combo of sight and sound. The lead single “Getting Better”’s music video has already garnered significant attention over a month.
“The HeARTist” is now available on all major platforms. So award yourself a hypnotic dose of deep, melodic indie folk by the multi-talented GALVO.
