To Feel The Rain by Phoebe Katis: Album Review
Nothing like a good song to gently sweep you off your feet! Pheobe Katis is one more artist that takes you by surprise and graces the world with her unique vocals, beautiful lyrics and melodies. In her album โTo Feel The Rain,โ she encompasses peace and excitement, where she merges everything between Broadway to lo fi music and bedroom pop.
Taking her first few baby steps with the tunes of Time To Wake III, the album sets its tone. Manifesto is a serotonin-filled song where you get the true taste of Phoebeโs voice, dreamy backing vocals and a light acoustic flair that keeps plucking along as her voice rises gracefully by the second. Featuring Louis Cato over minimalistic instrumental progression, the brilliance and melodic diversity of Phoebe sustains in Always Be Around. This Is It features unmitigated joy and documents the artistโs journey to finding faith, followed by the feel-good title, A Good Thing.
Until Next Time is a peaceful listen, with an earworm bridge, for when youโre savoring the crashing of waves at evening. If youโve been experiencing a transition in life, the ethereal and inspiring Take Care might resonate with you. Ending with a positive flair on her classic piano chords, the self-titled record To Feel The Rain brings about an epiphany.
Thereโs something about this entire album that I canโt seem to unstuck from my mind and heart. Which is why, I hope this will be an incredible discovery for your next playlist!
