Tove Lo’s New Single “No One Dies From Love” Is Out Now: Check It Out!
Tove Lo, a Swedish pop singer, has contributed her song “How Long” to the Euphoria soundtrack and performed onstage with Flume at Coachella so far this year. Tove Lo announced the formation of her own record label, Pretty Swede Records, which is a subsidiary of the artist management organization mtheory, today. Tove Lo has just launched another banger as the first single on her new label.
“No One Dies From Love” is a sleek, percolating dance-pop music about heartbreak with a bright, eye-catching visual by Brazilian directing pair ALASKA, who also directed Tove Lo’s “Are U Gonna Tell Her?” video. Tove Lo sings about a breakup in the song. Her lyrics are occasionally refreshingly ordinary: “I miss all the fun things we used to do/ But what I miss the most is watching movies with you.” She prefers over-the-top drama: “No one dies from love/ Guess I’ll be the first/ Will you remember us/ Or are the memories too stained with blood now?” she says.
Tove Lo has something to say about the song in a press release:
When you’re with someone for a long time and it ends all of all sudden, it’s like a part of you has died. This person is now a stranger to you. All of the memories are tainted. For the first part of the breakup, you believe you’re not supposed to feel good about anything you had together. What I believe I do best is “heartbreak you can dance to.” The song is that.
