Transparent by Galactic Fuzz: Review
The space train to “Coolville” calls us, and conducting the journey is Galactic Fuzz and their interstellar track “Transparent”. The song will have you transported to that psychedelic 60s era, full of bell bottoms, and the smell of Woodstock. But, it is also a track that will make you think of unicorns, rainbows, and everything colorful. The track has a retro vibe that is absolutely groovy man, the overall sensation and melody it provides are solid and once you hear the singer’s way and magical vocals you’ll be enthralled.
Talk about guitar solos, bruh, Galactic Fuzz has you covered. The phrasing and arrangement, it’s all top-notch stuff! They have a nice tone and are quite filled with reverb. Sometimes, we guitarists like to use tones that have this phaser effect, this is where the guitar tone is slightly distorted, yes, but it also has this sharp noodle-like tone that sounds like it’s all over the place. One thing I must applaud is the blues guitar solos amid the track because the band seems to be completely on par with their 60s psychedelic music style. They just go on and on with their melody and it is truly a treat to hear. The singer’s voice is a little faded, but it also adds a wave of mystery that blends with the overall instrumentation of the track.
“Transparent” is available for streaming, and it’ll satisfy that retro itch you’d need from a sound that is reminiscent of yesteryear. Also, a fun fact, the band’s name? Was inspired by science fiction! Neat, huh?
