Twoons Releases Groovy EP “Barnsour”
Twoons is a producer and musician who uses complex melodies and dance music elements to make evocative electronic music that spans multiple genres. After years of musical experimentation, the puts an emphasis on simple chord progressions and pedal notes.
Twoons has a diverse musical background, having played in both classical and jazz organizations as a child. Prior to discovering producing more than a decade ago, he was mostly a bass guitar and french horn musician, but he also taught himself to sing and play piano and guitar to a high degree. He performed a series of live events and DJ sets as part of his ‘8MANA’ collective between 2015 and 2020, where he also published songs. Since then, he has been formulating a plan and schedule for producing more and higher-quality music than ever before, as well as experimenting with photo and video editing to eliminate the need to outsource creative material. Three EPs are now scheduled for release by Twoons, the first of which, ‘Barnsour,’ is complete.
The artist combines diverse musical styles in the EP “Barnsour”, specifically old-school hip-hop with some electronica segments. There’s a heavy rap anthem present in the flow of “The Melodrama”, and even some beatboxing present which was a nice surprise. Instrumentally focused tracks such as “Zeallousy” and “Be Cool, Fool” shines a light on electronica-themed progressions combined with hard-hitting beats. Overall, it is a charming EP, that should definitely resonate with the music taste of the masses.
