Blue Orchid Reaction has released their latest punky rocker, “Under These Skies,” this March 4. “Under These Skies” is for all the rock lovers out there because it was created for the love of rock and, generally music.
With influences ranging from all kinds and genres, the single really shows how much BOR loves music. Nevertheless, we want them to focus on rocking our floors because it couldn’t get any better than this single.
Comprised of Paul on guitar and vocals, Dom on bass guitar and vocals, Matt on guitar, and Alex on drums and vocals, Blue Orchid Reaction is distributing this track to us to celebrate the fact that we made it out of Covid-19 by bringing us together with the best of music.
Stereo panning is always a great way to start a song. Feel the riffs take turns on your ears mercilessly as they flow from one to the next and then come blazing to both. And so they do with much carefree smug catchiness against a thumping rhythm section that makes you want to dance as much as nod your heads.
The bridge opens the way for an explosive and engaging drum solo—one of the best I have ever heard—performed by Alex. With precision and passion, Alex commands attention, infusing the track with an electrifying energy that propels it forward. That says so much about the need to replace our drummers with those like Alex ASAP.
Alex is also the vocalist with his hazy high voice, synchronizing with the driving guitars over ethereal backing vocals and making the song as anthemic as it could be. The vocalist’s voice is a little reverbed, giving it a heavenly yet feverish hypnotic vibe.
Make sure not to miss out on “Under These Skies” by Blue Orchid Reaction on Spotify.
