Virtue by Tucker Riggleman & the Cheap Dates: Review
Tucker Riggleman & the Cheap Dates make fantastic indie rock music with Appalachian and Americana themes. Their track “Virtue” is layered with guitar and vocal layers that add to that effect, and it’ll excite fans of the genre. It leads with a rhythm that grabs your attention from the very beginning and doesn’t let go easily.
“Virtue” enters with a jangly guitar section, while a poetic singer invites us in. Eventually, when percussions enter the atmosphere, a gripping indie-rock aura comes on. In addition to the lead vocals, we’re drawn to the song’s cadence and this is where the Appalachian and Americana aspects come on. Hearing the style of singing and rhythm brought on these facets, and was an interesting take on such a historical genre. While other artists bring a folksy allure to these categories of music, Tucker Riggleman & the Cheap Dates mix the aura of indie rock for a stunning sound. Ultimately, it’ll resonate with a massive audience due to its lively tone. I mean why wouldn’t it? The tune’s got a fantastic flow, especially the chorus sections. That’s the melody in full swing, where harmonies follow, and it’s simply riveting to hear. Furthermore, there’s wordplay and zesty guitar strumming.
Indie rock has a solid influence in the industry. Many musicians fuse a variety of timbres with it, and it moves me to witness such a range. Hence, “Virtue” is no stranger to that, and I believe you’ll enjoy it just the same, folks.
