Wait for Me by Broken Romeo: Review
Wait for Me by Broken Romeo is, in a nutshell, a melodic, gritty, epic rock song. Their music is rough and addicting all at once; the guitar work is excellent, and Iโm confident that this song will get you into their atmosphere. The bandโs song is an enjoyable composition that conforms to the alternative rock genre and even has some punk rock characteristics.
I knew it was going to be one of those uplifting power tunes from the first note and the vocalistโs scream that made me grin. I wasnโt incorrect; the singer incorporates some grunge and classic rock vibes in his voice. The drum work is insane, with on-time rolls and solid patterns. The chorus is a bit different from the tempo of the verse, and it adds a strong hook. There is a short guitar solo, that will want you itching for more. Overall, my favorite part was the guitar riffs, it was pretty rad! I appreciate the section of the song where the bass is featured more because every instrument deserves its day in the spotlight, and Iโm pleased it was the bass who nailed it.
Local Tucsonans Broken Romeo plays alternative rock. They draw from a wide range of musical sources for their eclectic sound, from early rock to modern alternative. In 2011, Broken Romeo won the Tammy for best rock performance, and they have since performed with a wide variety of well-known national bands.
