What I Wish I Had Said by Alec Berlin: Review
Alec Berlin, once again we meet my man! Now today’s special feature is a release that I heard him play back in 2019 called “What I Wish I Had Said” in a live performance, alongside the pounding drums and booming basslines. Now that I found myself catching it on Spotify once more, but with much stronger electronic funk, my mind is blown and I’m here to share the good bits with you guys.
This song has a pulsating tune created by the interplay of drums and guitars, but each instrument seems to occupy its own space. Alec, a vagabond in the horizon of instrumental music, demonstrates the art of taking a simple tune into a soul-piercing record without having to sing it out for us. It is as if each guitar is speaking its own language, and the back-and-forth between them is rather fascinating. Tapping between mellow and wild tones, this is one of the best performances that gets me in the mood for some rollicking punk and electronic fusion.
Standing in the distance as an admirer of Alec Berlin,I can tell you that the man has the high stakes taste when it comes to creating powerful riffs with his guitar. The album and its title track “What I Wish I Had Said” will amaze any listener within the radius, for its solid vision, marvelous composition, and intricate electronic waves that make this track and its creator, an unforgettable act.
