Wole Awolola released mesmerizing song ‘Immanuel’
Wole Awolola has released his first-ever Christmas single, titled ‘IMMANUEL’, following the release of his first-ever gospel Afrobeat.
Wole explains succinctly how the birth and arrival of baby Jesus in the manger was the greatest event ever to happen to humanity in this yet-another-well-produced track in collaboration with Mr. Eff. This is because God came to physically live with man.
The chorus of the well-known Christmas carol ‘O come all ye faithful’ and a verse from Isaiah 7:13, the first place the name Immanuel is mentioned in the Bible, are interspersed between the straightforward but artistically composed verses. Wole delivers a soulful delivery with his well-known rich, smooth vocals in a well-balanced fusion of Afrobeat and R&B. The production is of the highest caliber, and Wole follows it up with a video of equal caliber, directed by the multi-talented and dynamic Christian rapper Snatcha, and starring his adored son, a young woman who is more like a daughter to him, and close friends.
Critics, playlist managers, radio and TV presenters, including those from the UK’s KICC TV and Premier Gospel Radio, as well as a number of gospel music experts, have all given the song very positive reviews. You should include this song in your playlist of Christmas music every year.
