Wolves (LOTN) by Jamo: Review
JAMO is a solo performer with dual talents as a music producer and composer. His real name, Jamie, was shortened to “Jay-mo” in high school, and that became his stage moniker. Shortly after, JAMO settled on this pseudonym as the one he want to promote professionally. After graduating from college with a music degree, JAMO chose to take his musical profession seriously and began performing under his stage name, JAMO. When hearing his song “Wolves (LOTN)” it immediately reminded me of Justin Bieber’s voice, and Jamo has a striking resemblance with Justin’s vocal chops. However, Jamo has his own rich R&B voice, and it’s just such a jam to hear him sing. Really chill and had really precise notes. Also, the song had an excellent musical structure.
The rhythm sections of Wolves (LOTN) are powered by the keys, and it’s very harmonious. I really enjoyed listening to the electronic elements of the song, and Jamo’s vocal range. His highs and lows are absolutely on point and even manage to have a fluid falsetto. Not many can do that all the while sound good too. In terms of lyrical themes, the song has a very romantic nature to it. It’s perfect to listen to on a rainy night, just like the one I’m experiencing now!
JAMO found his calling in music when he formed his own band called “The 924’s”. Growing up, he listened to mostly rap and RnB, but later he branched out to other styles, such as dance and electronic music.
